It is estimated that 11,600 AF-related strokes, including 3,200 fatal strokes, could be avoided each year through proper management of this common condition, including better medication management, earlier diagnosis and lifestyle changes. In London, more than 14,000 people with AF and with a high risk of stroke are not on any anti-coagulation treatment at all.

This event aims to provide an opportunity for delegates to share best practice and discover and test out some of the latest innovations and treatments to support case finding, diagnostics, treatment and management.

The event is being jointly organised by the London AF network (the three London AHSNs, the London Strategic Clinical Network and NHS England London) and SBRI Healthcare, which is funded by NHS England and run by the AHSNs.
